with the Plant-O-Vator® System

Text Box: Rye grass was interseeded in this field the last week of October, 2002. The field was rotationally grazed until the corn was planted the first week of May 2003.

The cattle continued grazing the Bahia grass and rye grass remnants until the corn sprouted.

30-11-11 (Nitrogen Urea) per acre.

The Plant-O-Vator® system mixes the fertilizer in the soil directly below the seed and covers the mixture with a layer of soil, separating the seed from the fertilizer.

CREEP-FEEDING CALVES AT WEANING TIME

This type of cropping planted every 10 days allows “creep feeding” of calves while they are still nursing.

If the calves are allowed to continue grazing after weaned, they could inexpensively put on several hundred more pounds.

Two trips, three crops on the same acreage
