****** FORAGE PRODUCTION
Using the Bahia sod with the Plant-O-Vator® system produces high volume, high quality, low cost forage. Cowpeas and Mung beans interseeded in Bahia increased production, quality and extended the growth period of the Bahia before fixing seed heads. Clovers interseeded in Bahia sod produce high quality clover/grass mixture of hay (over 20% crude protein).
At the same time, the Bahia sod allowed and supported the crops of peas, Mung beans and clovers; these legumes in turn supplied nitrogen for the Bahia.
