THE PERFECT CUTTER BAR

The shape makes all the difference.

  • The underside of the FELLA cutter bar has a streamline effect that resists mud buildup blockage when cutting in sticky soil conditions. This allows the FELLA to cut when others have given up or never started.
  • The underside of the FELLA cutter bar has an air tunnel where the blades come together and create an air fanning. The tunnel allows the air to dissipate under and out the back when mowing. This prevents light, dry crops from being blown down out of reach of the blades, avoiding streaking.
  • The deep "V" entraps the crops and allows large, 5-inch overlap of the blades to cut clean.

The cut is what counts.

  • The cut is what counts. A perfect cut is achieved due to the large overlap of the mower discs which is positioned well toward the front. This is a result of the large mower discs which FELLA use. Due to their special shape, these improve the flow of forage across the mower bed—an important aspect, especially for heavy, lying material. A clean cutting pattern—the calling card of any FELLA mower!

  • The large diameter cutting discs use fewer blades per foot of cut. A savings!

  • Individual compact angular disc drive units are easily bolted on to an extruded steel back bone with 4 bolts and are driven with a hexagonal shaft inside the back bone.

  • Each disc cutter is protected by a "driveGUARD" when hitting steel and rock objects.

  • Only one oil system for the entire cutter bar and entry gear box. The system has one breather piped overhead to the outer end of the cutter bar. This breathing system allows slope mowing.

  • Oil capacity from 2½ to 3½ gallons - depending on mower size. The oil does not need to be changed until the first repairs are made. A savings!

Simple yet ingenious

Should you need to, you can replace the inexpensive "driveGUARD" shear disc in the field in a matter of minutes. The cutting discs remain securely attached to the cutter bar at all times.
